Situated
some 35 miles northwest
of Prince Rupert BC, Canada, Haa Nee Naa Lodge proudly boasts
as being one of British Columbia's northern most saltwater
salmon fishing lodges. Safely nestled in a secluded, breathtaking
cove on the north shore of Dundas Island, and overlooking
the picturesque South East Alaska Panhandle (only 5 miles
to the north) Haa Nee Naa Lodge offers an un-crowded and
untouched array of saltwater fishing experiences.
Being a floating resort has allowed
Haa Nee Naa Lodge to situate their guests only minutes from
the migratory paths of millions of pacific salmon. Once
the exclusive haven of commercial salmon fishermen, Dundas
Island's calm, protected, swell-free waters were pioneered
by Haa Nee Naa Lodge as the island's first and only sportfishing
resort. Lodge guests need only take a short boat ride to the finest salmon fishing waters found anywhere in the world.
The Dundas Island group lies between
the waters of Dixon Entrance East and Chatham Sound and
overwhelms you with some of the most breathtaking scenery
on the Pacific Coast. From its calm protected coves, inlets
and bays stretch massive kelp beds which extend to the ocean
pounded rocks and beautiful white sand beaches, Dundas Island
is rich in scenery and wildlife alike. Weather permitting,
lodge guests may also stroll the beaches or enjoy a hearty
shore lunch crab prepared specially for you by the lodge's chef. The waters around Dundas Island are also home to countless other mammal life.
It is not uncommon to watch pods of Orcas (Killer Whales)
swim within yards of your boat while majestic bald eagles
sore in the skies above. Other local residents include porpoises,
seals, sea lions, otters, wolves, humpback whales and a
vast array of bird life; so don't forget your camera!
